Yuji Sekiya (Ph.D.) is a Professor at The University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology and Security Informatics Education and Research Center, and also Information Technology Center. He received B.E. from Kyoto University in 1997 and M.E. from Keio University in 1999. He worked in USC/ISI since Oct. 1999 for six months as a visiting researcher. Since 2002, he has been working at The University of Tokyo, Information Technology Center. He received a Ph.D. degree from Keio University, Graduate School of Media and Governance in 2005. He moved to the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, at The University of Tokyo as a Professor in Nov. 2019. His main division is

He is a board member of WIDE Project. He has been working on DNS measurements, SDN, Network Virtualization, Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security. He is deeply involved in WIDE ProjectM Root DNS server, JP DNS servers, Internet Exchanges called, DIX-IE, PIX-IE, and NSPIXP-3, NECOMA Project, and Interop Tokyo ShowNet.

He started the project, Next Generation Network Service Platform (NSP) Consortium in 2014,  Advanced IT Architect Human Resource Development Council (AITAC) in 2017, and Network Muscle Learning (NML) Project for Cyber Security researches. He is also in charge of the Executive Advisor to the Government CIO since Feb. 2020.
